Basics Learning Network communities have conducted a variety of creative activities across many sectors. The Basics, Inc. documents examples in the form of “Playbooks.”

The Playbooks are classified under three headings based on the implementation areas they address:
- Systems (i.e., durable changes to organization- or community-level policies or practices)
- Services (i.e., individualized or group-based service delivery)
- Environments (i.e., physical spaces)

The first component of this course is the official Playbook document. The other components are additional resources provided by the local community.
